Terragen 2!

0 min read
So it's been well over a year since my last post, oh well. I went and purchased Terragen 2 in June, hurray. My first piece with it is desktop sized. I am quite happy to be done with the size restriction, though render times are too large to qualify my pictures for print-sized works. Looks like a busy year for me, though. I've got lots of composition classes to work on, and I'm taking 19 hours, so it's been pretty busy. I probably won't have much time for Terragen work, but I do think I already have my next piece in mind. Big surprise, it's clouds :P I know I've pretty much over used the whole setting of evening time with a moon and a lake,

Feeling better now, just a simple cold. Dryad was a no-go, my computer doesn't have the ram for it (you'd think 1 gig would be enough), but I downloaded Arbaro as well. It is somewhat confusing, but I think I understand it. I just can't get it to look right, it seems. The final branches all need to go up, you would think, because branches don't commonly sprout downwards, do they? In any case, leaves are an issue. After that, I need to learn how to color them properly in Terragen so that the trunk is brown and the leaves are green. In other news, I've been faffing over a single picture for quite a while. I have mostly the right elements, I'm

Dryad

Ick, I'm sick. Just a cold, I think, but I hope it goes away soon. Getting ready to put out a new image, just tweaking it before I do a full render. It's not exactly how I imagined it, but I hope it'll turn out nicely. On the other hand, I found through the Ashundar community a tree-generating program called Dryad. I'm downloading now to see if I will have any luck making my own vegetation now. I've heard it's terribly slow and not quite at par with professional programs, but it's free, for commercial use even, so I'm interested.

Thanks for the fav!
Thanks a lot for the fav!! Like your TG2 skies!
Thanks for the :+fav: on Plasmus!
Well deserved, your work is outstanding. Wonderful textures, and the landscaping in TG2 is impressive. I have trouble getting something anywhere near what I'd like, but your images look interesting and natural at the same time =)
